About Me
My name is Hadas. I'm almost at the end of my bachelor's degree at McGill University, majoring in mathematics and minoring in English Literature. I speak French, English, Hebrew, learned 3 years' worth of Italian in high school, and am currently learning Spanish in university.
My goal as a tutor isn't only to help my tutee better understand the material. One of my primary interests is to teach the student how to better study the material so they may be able to study it better by themselves. As a piano student, I've learned in private lessons what I've never seen in any class at school: you can study as many hours as you want, but if you don't do it properly, you're not learning at all.

Description:
I first got a taste of tutoring in grade 10 when my math teacher requested I help a classmate. Since then, I’ve tutored students at elementary, high school, and CEGEP levels in various subjects both privately and within formal structures. I worked for the Dawson College’s Learning Centre, assisting people in their English and Humanities courses; additionally, I took a tutoring course as one of my French credits. Some summers ago, I joined the Lasalle Learning Centre as both a primary and high school tutor in math, French, and English. As part of my job, I
participated in the centre’s summer camp; this consisted in both teaching math to groups of three
to eight children aged 5 to 11 and leading (non-school-related) activities. I was also in charge of groups from grades 5 and 6 in their preparations for high-school entrance examinations.
