About Me
I'm an NYU Pre-medicine graduate, current emergency medicine technician, and aspiring doctor. In the past some of my titles have been clinical research assistant, tutor, reach out and read reader, but most importantly and more currently tío of two nephews (7 and 2 years old). I love my two nephew extremely much and it's because of them that I have truly developed a love for educating younger peers. During my undergraduate years I was a Psychology major with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. My favorite subject to tutor is mathematics, especially algebra.
P.S I'm available for tutoring throughout New York City.

Relation with the tutor: Other
Dr. Brendan Cummings
" Mr. Alvelo use to teach my 14 year old daughter in Spanish and Mathematics, specifically Algebra. Within two weeks we noticed a difference in her test scores. Brian can simply be described as a life saver. My daughter went from getting Cs to B and B+s. Remarkable! He is organized, efficient, and yet makes learning fun and interactive. Relation with the tutor: Colleague

" Brian has always been prompt and well mannered. He was an excellent tutor and my son Gus loves him. I was skeptical at first, but Brian proved to be better than I could have ever imagined. Gus learned to love to do homework and soon his grades followed improvement. Brian's homework help was well worth it. " - Posted 14 years ago
