Being a Teaching Assistant at 18 years old at UMD last semester was a wonderful segue into private tutoring. I was on of the highest rated TAs that semester due to not only teaching the discussion section in an energetic fashion, but spending hours helping students debug their code. A personal strength of mine is to not change a student's flow of thought, but to provide assistance in their approach so that the final product is one they designed and understand from the ground up.
