About Me
I offer tutoring in general high school and undergraduate mathematics and high school and freshman undergraduate physics. I also tutor in Mathematical Logic, up to and including the level of introductory graduate courses. I also can tutor and consult in Set Theory to the level of advanced graduate courses.
I also offer introductory tutoring in the Linux operating system, especially for home use. I can help with the selection of a specific Linux distribution, downloading and installing this to a computer as either dual boot with previous operating system or stand alone installation. I can then provide introductory instruction for maintaining and using Linux, including basic troubleshooting.
I did a Bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo jointly in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics. I also acquired a Masters degree from the University of Waterloo in Pure Mathematics. I then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where I studied Mathematical Logic with a concentration in Set Theory.
I am patient as a tutor, taking the time to instill a complete understanding, without putting time pressure on students.

Description:
As part of my scholarship while an undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo, I tutored undergraduates in Mathematics courses from 1970-1974. As a graduate student enrolled toward my Masters degree at the University of Waterloo and at Berkeley, I was a teaching assistant and ran classes of 20-30 students. In addition, I was the main lecturer teaching mathematics classes at Ohio State University, Columbus and at Cal State, Hayward.
